System Analyst

Provide off and on-site support to schools within the district for different software; Texas Assessment Management System (TAMS), Data Management for Assessment and Curriculum (DMAC), Online Data Management System (NCS School House).  Responsible for District Testing Coordinator (DTC) responsibilities as outlined in the District and Campus Coordinator Manuel (DCCM). Responsible for uploading student roster data and assessments results for DMAC on a weekly basis. Provide training for TAMS and DMAC for teacher and appropriate staff.  Provide support for online testing of TAKS, TELPAS, STAAR, and EOC field test. Create reports in Microsoft Access through queries and disseminate assessment data to campuses after different administrations; TAKS, TELPAS, EOC.  Attend annual meeting/trainings for DTC and coordinate trainings for assessments.  Provide TAKS scores to campus personnel when requested. Train district monitors and provide a schedule for monitoring purposes throughout different testing window assessments.

Provide adult learners with effective instructional services designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual growth and completion of the General Education Development (GED) program through appropriate curriculum, program design, and assessment activities. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in the workplace. Provide instruction in five (5) basic areas; Writing, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, and Mathematics. Ensure that each learner is prepared to master the GED exam. A locator test is given to students to determine their knowledge and skill level. Once their level is determined a pre-test is administered to measure their Domain of Significance (DOS).  After the students have completed 60 hours a post-test is administered to access student progress on their (DOS).

Business Ventures 8th grade teacher 2005-2007, instruct students to create and manage a business.  Wrote curriculum based on Chapter 126, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Technology Applications (TEKS), business rules and business settings. In 2007 I attended the National Middle School Aerospace Scholars (NaMAS) program with NASA in conjunction with San Jacinto Community College. I used computers and robotics to help students build the NTX Lego Mindstorms robot and encouraged students to pursue degrees in the Science, English, Math, and Technology Fields in order to promote information technology in the aerospace industry.

 

Technology Purchasing Clerk 2003-2005, created requisitions by allowing competitive bidding for technology related hardware and software.  Planned and built a technology warehouse that housed just-in-time inventory for real time solutions.  This allowed campus technology personnel to complete work orders quickly; turnaround time was diminished from one-to-two weeks to two-three days. Attended technology conferences to meet with vendors and build rapports so that new vendors could improve bidding.

 

Lab Manager/Teacher Assistant 2002-2003; managed a computer lab and worked with grade levels Pre-K to 8th grade with math and reading. I organized lab schedule to accommodate all grade levels to learn Chapter 126, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Technology Applications (TEKS). Students’ knowledge levels were imposed to each grade level; beginning, intermediate, and expert.

Ex) mangos, papayas, avocadoes, limes, etc.  As a driver and purchasing clerk, I maintained a vendor supply list and ordered materials through purchase orders, and requisitions.
